ANKARA (AA) - Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi on Monday met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the presidential palace in Tunis.
The meeting was also attended by Emrullah Isler, Turkish special envoy to Libya; Omer Faruk Dogan, Turkish ambassador to Tunisia; Hasan Yavuz, a member of the board of directors of Turkey’s Maarif Foundation; and Ali Onaner, a special advisor to Cavusoglu.
After the meeting, Cavusoglu tweeted that he had conveyed Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s personal greetings to his Tunisian counterpart.
“The deep fraternal relations between Turkey and Tunisia remain at very high levels," the foreign minister tweeted.
