TUNISA (AA) - Tunisia’s Ennahda Party Wednesday has called for the municipal elections, which have been delayed for several months.
In Ennahda’s written statement, Tunisia’s national interest demands a local election with a comprehensive agreement as soon as possible.
The country’s High Electoral Commission met the major opposition parties and cleared the reasons and difficulties for postponing the local election, according to the statement.
According to the Tunisia’s electoral law, the president should announce the date at least three months before the election.
