ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish security forces arrested 10 suspects on Friday for alleged links to FETO, the terror group behind the defeated 2016 coup, judicial sources said.
Six of the suspects were being sought by Istanbul prosecutors over links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), said the sources, who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
And in an operation in the southeastern Adana province, four former military and security personnel were arrested for alleged links to FETO, the sources added.
Separately, in the northwestern Bursa province, prosecutors issued arrest warrants for 25 suspects in 16 provinces.
The suspects -- including nine active-duty military personnel -- are alleged to have used pay phones to communicate periodically with FETO members.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 251 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
