ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's national Taekwondo team were named winners on Wednesday of the eighth Open European Clubs Championships in the Croatian capital Zagreb.
The Turkey Taekwondo Federation said the Turkish team clinched four gold, two silver, and two bronze in the tournament organized by the European Taekwondo Union.
Emre Kutalmis Atesli and Orkun Atesli claimed gold medals in the 87-kilogram (192-pound) category, while Yusuf Kara won a bronze medal in the 74-kg (163-pound) of the men's division.
On Tuesday, Hatice Kubra Ilgun and Zeliha Agris claimed gold medals, Nafia Kus and Ikra Kayir had silver, and Rukiye Yildirim won bronze in the women's division.
The championship trophy was received by Taekwondo National Team Coach Servet Tazegul.
