ANKARA (AA) - Parliament's Deputy Speaker Yasar Tuzun on Thursday called for an end to Fetullah Terrorist Organization's (FETO) activities in South Korea.
In a meeting with Turkey-South Korea Inter-parliamentary Friendship Group head An Min Suk, Tuzun drew attention towards the presence of FETO-linked schools, nonprofit organizations and enterprises in South Korea.
"We demand an end to the actions of people or enterprises linked to a terrorist organization," said Tuzun.
Recalling the brotherly relations of the two countries since the Korean War, Tuzun said that Turkey wanted to improve bilateral relations with Korea in line with strategic partnership.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Ankara accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
