TRABZON, Turkey (AA) – The volume of Turkey’s Black Sea salmon exports this January leaped 87%, according to data from a trade group.
Turkey exported 3,980 tons of salmon in the first month of 2021 with a total value of $19.8 million, also up 73% on a value basis, according to the information from the Eastern Black Sea Exporters' Association.
The exports went to 23 countries, with Russia, Germany, and Vietnam as the main destinations.
Ismail Kobya, a member of the group’s board, said producers feel bullish about salmon exports this year.
