ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TurkPatent) received a total of 32,356 trademark applications -- 28,197 of them domestic -- in the first quarter of 2019.
The number of trademark applications rose by 1.2% year-on-year in the three-month period, according to TurkPatent data released on Monday.
TurkPatent also received 4,056 patent applications -- 447 domestic and 976 foreign -- in January-March period, up 4.7% on a yearly basis.
Meanwhile, the office received 718 utility models and 11,762 design applications during the first quarter of the current year.
Last year, 120,008 trademarks,18,504 patents, 2,770 utility models, and 42,083 design applications were made.
