ANKARA (AA) - A total of 66,578 first- and second-hand vehicles were registered in November 2018, the country's statistics authority revealed on Friday.
The number of motor vehicle registrations in Turkey slipped 39 percent year-on-year in the month, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
Compared to the previous month, motor vehicle registrations surged by 74.7 percent in November.
The total number of road motor vehicles registered to the traffic surpassed 22.8 million by the end of November, TurkStat said.
Cars represented 54.2 percent, followed by small trucks 16.4 percent, motorcycles 14.1 percent, tractors 8.2 percent, trucks 3.7 percent, minibuses 2.1 percent, buses 1 percent and special purpose vehicles 0.3 percent.
In terms of distribution of model brands for new registered cars, 11.3 percent were Toyota, 10.6 percent both Volkswagen and Renault, and 9.3 percent Nissan.
