ANKARA (AA) – The economic confidence index in Turkey was lower month-on-month in October according to official data released on Thursday.
The index was down 8.4 percent to 80.56 compared to last month, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a report.
This month-on-month decrease was driven by deteriorations in the real sector, services, retail trade, construction and confidence indices.
Real sector confidence index saw a slide of 3.1 percent. Services and retail trade confidence indices both followed with 1.8 percent declines.
The construction confidence index dropped by 0.8 percent.
Consumer confidence declined slightly by 0.3 percent to reach at 74.04 in October month-on-month.
