Turkey 'strongly' condemns deadly hotel attack in Kenya

14 people were killed in Tuesday's attack, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta confirms

ANKARA (AA) - Turkey has denounced Tuesday's deadly hotel attack in the Kenyan capital which took the lives of over a dozen people.

"We strongly condemn this heinous attack. We extend our condolences to the bereaved families and to the people and government of Kenya, and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded," said a Foreign Ministry statement on Wednesday

Fourteen people died and many were wounded in the al-Shabaab terrorist attack on a hotel in the capital Nairobi, Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta confirmed.

Kenyatta said all the attackers who stormed the hotel with guns and explosives had been eliminated.

The attack began when the terrrorists blew up their vehicle outside the hotel complex.
