ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey will host the 12th Real Estate Fair and Arabic-Turkish Summit between April 28 and April 29 in Istanbul, the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) Vice President, Murat Kalsin, said on Tuesday.
Kalsin told reporters that more than 500 foreign investors from several countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Morocco and Egypt, would be attending the fair.
He added that visitors would get to meet the Turkish business community during the fair, where they would get a chance to discuss and develop investments.
"The projects on real estate, which will start in the upcoming days, will contribute more to growth," Kalsin added.
According to the fair's website, the summit is the "largest" fair on newly emerging and ongoing markets as well as real estate investment and innovation.
"It’s Turkey’s most effective fair which brings buyers, sellers and investors together," it added.
Ziad al-Bassam, vice president of Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, told reporters Turkey was a "popular" country for Gulf countries in terms of real estate.
Al-Bassam said they hoped to take step towards cooperation besides real estate sales.
"We need to cooperate on project design. We should design projects especially for the Arab region," he added.
