ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 0.07% or 69.05 points to start Tuesday at 102,658.76 points.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index slipped 0.47% to close the day at 102,589.71 points with a daily trading volume of 7.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.7360 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday compared to 5.7160 at Monday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 6.3140, versus 6.2950, and one British pound traded for 7.1360 Turkish liras, while it was 7.1250 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $68.70 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Tuesday.
