ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index ended Wednesday up 0.47 percent to close at 100,141.04 points.
Opening the midweek trading at 99,737.52 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index surged 463.93 points compared with the previous close.
As of the daily close, the U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 5.3120, down from 5.3490 at Tuesday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate stood at 6.0360 at Wednesday's close, versus 6.0710 at the previous close.
One British pound traded for 6.9449 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY exchange rate was 6.9300 at Tuesday's close.
In Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets, one ounce of gold was sold for $1,285.50 at the daily close, compared with $1,284.10 at the previous close.
On Wednesday, the price of Brent oil was around $61.55 per barrel as of 6.20 p.m. local time (1520GMT), in a day-range of $61.16 to $62.34.
