ANKRA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index decreased by 0.07%, or 73.54 points, to start the last transaction day of the week at 100,272.11 points.
On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose by 0.56% to close the day at 100,345.64 points with a daily trading volume of 8.7 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.7770 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared to 5.7650 at Thursday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 6.4220, versus 6.4150, and one British pound traded for 7.4430 Turkish liras, while it was 7.4350 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil was sold for around $61.45 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Friday.
