ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the week at 113,683.61 points on Friday, up 0.03% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 114,035.70 points. As of the daily close, it gained 30.60 points from Thursday's close of 113,653.02 points.
During Friday's trading, the index hovered between 113,762.94 points and 114,290.81 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 770 billion Turkish liras ($130 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 8.6 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).
On the last transaction day of the week, 42 stocks on the index rose, 13 were down, and the remaining were flat compared to Thursday.
The highest trading volumes were posted by national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, energy company Ipek Dogal Enerji and leasing company Is Finans Kiralama.
Conglomerate Bera Holding was the best performer, with its shares up 6.05%, while an energy company Enerjisa shares dropped the most, down 2.33%.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,510.00 by market close, up from $1,504.40 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $68 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Friday.
