ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index decreased slightly by 0.09%, or 98.12 points, to start the last trading day of the week at 103,446.23 points.
On Thursday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 2.37% to reach 103,544.35 points with a daily trading volume of 9.54 billion Turkish liras ($1.66 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 5.7580 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Friday, compared to 5.7360 at Thursday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 6.3640, versus 6.3530, and one British pound traded for 7.3920 Turkish liras, while it was 7.3730 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $61.90 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Friday.
