ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange rose 0.10 percent, or 87.05 points, to open at 91,532.34 points on Tuesday.
The BIST banking and holding sector indices increased 0.42 percent and 0.02 percent, respectively.
Among all sector indices, the tourism sector index posted the best performance, up 0.78 percent, and the wholesale and retail trade sector index was the worst, down 0.60 percent.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 closed at 91,445.28, down 1.5 percent, or 1,393.92 points.
The USD/TRY exchange rate increased to 5.4710 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday. It was 5. 5.4420 at Monday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate also rose to 6.1520 by market open -- from 6.1370 at the previous close -- and one British pound traded for 7.0610 Turkish liras versus 7.0420 at the previous close.
The price of Brent oil stood at $69.57 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Tuesday, while it was sold for $66 at the beginning of this year.
