ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s BIST 100 stock index rose 67.18 points -- 0.06 percent -- to open at 103,997.85 points on Tuesday.
The banking and holding sector indices rose 0.05 percent and 0.09 percent, respectively.
Among the sector indices, the investment trust sector advanced the most with a 0.72 percent rise, while the telecommunication sector index fell most with a 0.35 percent decline.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly rose to 3.57700 liras to the dollar at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared with 3.5760 at Monday’s close.
The BIST 100 was up 1,022.94 points -- 0.99 percent -- to 103,930.67 points at close on Monday. The day’s trading volume was 4 billion liras (around $1.12 billion).
Analysts said investors would follow September inflation figure of Turkey set to be released on Tuesday.
