ANKARA (AA) - Istanbul’s BIST 100 index gained 265.81 points to open at 778,801.98 Tuesday.
Turkey’s benchmark index rose 0.34 percent as the banking and holding sectors rose 0.47 and 0.27 percent respectively.
Among sector indices, the real estate led with a 1.05 percent rise while the shares of leasing and factoring companies saw a 0.68 percent decline.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell from 3.1040 liras to the dollar at the close of trading on Monday to 3.0909 early Tuesday amid growing expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve would raise interest rates in December.
