ANKARA (AA) - Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index went down 0.15 percent at the close of the daily session Monday.
The benchmark index decreased by 116.63 points to close at 77,437.58, and the total trade volume of the stock exchange market was 3.2 billion Turkish liras (around $1.03 billion).
On the first day of the week, the banking sector index declined 0.28 percent, while the holding sector index was up 0.15 percent.
Among the sector indexes, the mining sector index advanced most with 2.38 percent, while the biggest lost was seen in the informatics sector index, which went down 1.42 percent.
The Borsa Istanbul Gold Exchange index gained 0.12 percent in value compared to Friday's close, with gold trading at 125,200 Turkish liras (approximately $40,487) per kilogram.
The Turkish lira slightly lost value against the U.S. dollar to trade at 3.0950 compared to Friday's closing rate of 3.0760.
