ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose 0.12%, or 126.33 points, to start Tuesday at 108,912.38 points.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index hit 108.786,06 points at close, down 0.08% with a daily trading volume of 9.2 billion Turkish liras ($1.5 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate stood at 5.8170 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, compared to 5.8070 at Monday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 6.4400, versus 6.4330, and one British pound traded for 7.6700 Turkish liras, while it was 7.6490 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $64.17 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Tuesday.
