ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index went up 0.47 percent or 481.08 points to open at 103,785.14 points on Monday.
On Friday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index ended the week up 0.85 percent at 103,304.05 points with a daily trading volume of some 7.5 billion Turkish liras ($1.37 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate fell to 5.4620 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Monday, compared to 5.4690 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was slightly down to 6.1970 from Friday's close at 6.2070, and one British pound was exchanged for 7.2680 Turkish liras, down from 7.2690.
One barrel of Brent oil was sold for $67.22 as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Monday.
