ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index rose by 0.78%, or 931.46 points, to start Monday at 119,595.16 points.
At Friday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index went up 0.57% to reach 118,663.70 points, with a daily trading of 15.1 billion Turkish liras ($2.6 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 5.8680 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, versus 5.8780 at Friday's close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also stood at 6.5330, versus 6.5200, and one British pound traded for 7.6640 Turkish liras, versus 7.6980 at the previous close.
One barrel of Brent crude oil sold for around $65.04 as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Monday.
