ANKARA (AA) – Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,479.93 points on Friday, up 1.68% from the previous day, to mark its highest closing since Sept. 3.
Starting the day at 1,456.07 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 24.51 points from Thursday's close of 1,455.42 points.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,804.10 by market close, up from $1,782.70 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil climbed 0.17% to $84.75 per barrel as of 6:46 p.m. local time (1546GMT).
