ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange started Friday up 0.56 percent to open at 111,893.91 points.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose 621.96 points from Thursday’s close of 111,271.95 points.
The banking and holding sectors rose 0.66 and 0.35 percent respectively as every sector showed an increase. The sport sector was the best performer, rising 1.94 percent.
The U.S. dollar hovered around 3.8220 Turkish liras at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared with Thursday's closing rate of 3.8230.
The euro-lira rate rose to 4.5310 from Thursday’s close at 4.5410.
The price of Brent oil stood at $64.78 per barrel as of 10.10 a.m. local time (0710GMT) Friday, compared with its previous of $64.90.
