ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange rose 0.25 percent, or 286.42 points, to open at 115,216.63 points on Monday.
Among all sector indices, the retail trade sector index posted the best performance, up 0.93 percent, while the textile leather index was the worst, down 0.18 percent.
On Friday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 114,930.22, up 0.07 percent, with a 4.5 billion-Turkish lira ($1.14 billion) trade volume.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange increased to 3.9660 as of 09.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday. It was 3.9580 at Friday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate rose to 4.8850, compared with Friday's close of 4.8790.
The price of Brent oil was $69.78 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Monday.
