ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange rose 0.29 percent, or 327.37 points, to open at 114,302.99 points on Thursday.
The banking and holding sector indices were up 0.34 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively.
The insurance sector index posted the best performance, up 1.28 percent, while all sector indices started the day up.
On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 closed at 113,975.62, down 0.54 percent, or 618.44 points, with a 5.9 billion Turkish lira ($1.47 billion) trade volume.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange stood at 4.0130 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Thursday. It was 4.0000 at Wednesday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate slightly rose to 4.9270 on Thursday, compared to 4.9220 at the previous close.
The price of Brent oil rose $68.34 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Thursday, compared to $68.02 on Wednesday.
