ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange rose 0.28 percent, or 319.49 points, to open at 113,475.58 points on Tuesday.
Among all sector indices, the leasing factoring index posted the best performance, up 1.14 percent, while the textile leather index suffered the worst, down 0.52 percent.
The BIST banking index and the BIST holding index increased by 0.35 percent and 0.30 percent, respectively.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed at 113,156.08, down 1.38 percent, with a 7 billion-Turkish lira (nearly $1.7 billion) trade volume.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange stood at 4.0620 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Tuesday, the same as Monday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate decreased to 4.9980, compared with Monday's close of 5.0040.
The price of Brent oil was $69.57 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Tuesday.
