ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's stock exchange started Wednesday up 0.37 percent or 334.61 points to open at 91,031.58 points on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index closed the day at 90,247.86 points with a daily trading volume of 5 billion liras ($910 million).
The U.S. dollar hovered around 5.4760 Turkish liras at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Wednesday, compared with Tuesday's closing rate of 5.4950.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate slightly rose to 6.2810, compared to previous close at 6.2780.
One British pound traded for 6.9910 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY rate was 7.0090 by market close on Tuesday.
The price of Brent oil fell to $59.27 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) Wednesday, up from the previous closing rate of $58.72.
