ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock rose by 0.39% or 332.89 points on Tuesday to open at 86,615.43 points.
On Monday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased sharply by 2.54% to close at 86,282.54 points with a daily trading volume of 6.3 billion Turkish liras ($1 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 6.1100 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), compared to Monday's closing rate of 6.0910.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased slightly to 6.8700, versus 6.8610 at the previous close.
One British pound traded for 7.9300 Turkish liras, as the GBP/TRY exchange rate was 7.9480 at market close Monday.
The price of Brent oil was around $70.45 per barrel as of 10.00 a.m. local time (0700GMT) on Tuesday.
