ANKARA (AA) - Turkey’s BIST 100 stock exchange rose 343.10 points to open at 90,065.15 on Monday.
The benchmark index rose 0.38 percent, with the banking and holding sector indices both jumping 0.45 percent.
Among the sub-indices, the mining sector showed the greatest increase -- up 0.68 percent in initial transactions. No sector indices lost value.
At Friday's closing session, the benchmark index was down 0.24 percent -- decreasing 211.83 points -- to 89,722.05 points with a total trading volume of 3.9 billion Turkish liras ($1.05 billion).
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate remained at the same level as Friday’s close -- 3.7250 -- at 09.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday.
Gold held at $1,232.13 an ounce.
