ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, rose 275.23 points or 0.26 percent to open at 108,016.93 points on Monday.
The banking and holding sector indices were up 0.22 percent and 0.26 percent, respectively.
All sectors gained value while the tourism sector index was the best performer with a 0.50-percent rise.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 3.4440 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) on Monday, compared with 3.4350 at Friday’s close.
The BIST 100 was down 502.53 points, or 0.46 percent, to reach 108,244.22 points at close on Friday, with a total trading volume of 4.4 billion Turkish liras (nearly $1.28 billion).
Analysts said the market would focus on the Eurozone's August inflation figures set to be released on Monday.
