ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey’s current account balance is expected to see a deficit of $2.72 billion in May, according to an Anadolu Agency survey on Friday.
Turkey's Central Bank will release the balance of payments data next Friday.
Forecasts of a group of 15 economists for the month ranged between $1.2 billion and $3.35 billion.
The end-2021 current account balance is projected to post a deficit of $25.8 billion, with estimates ranging between $20 billion and $31.5 billion.
In April, the country's current account deficit was $1.7 billion, bringing the 12-month rolling deficit to $32.7 billion.
