ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's current account deficit is expected to stand at $2.8 billion in January, according to a panel of economists Friday.
A group of 17 experts questioned by Anadolu Agency projected the average ahead of an announcement -- set for Monday -- of the country's current account deficit figures for the first month of the year.
The economists also forecast that Turkey's year-end current account deficit will reach $36.3 billion -- with the highest forecast at $44 billion and the lowest at $33 billion.
Turkey's current account deficit in December 2016 was $4.3 billion with a 12-month rolling deficit of $32.6 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
