ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's gross external debt stock stood at $453.4 billion, nearly 61% of its gross domestic product (GDP), at end-March, the Treasury and Finance Ministry announced Friday.
The country's net foreign debt totaled $277.3 billion as of this March 31, accounting for 37.1% of its GDP.
The debt stock under Treasury guarantee was at $14.8 billion during the same period.
The report showed that EU-defined general government debt stock amounted to 1.2 trillion Turkish liras ($217 billion), or 31.8% of GDP at the end of March.
The public net debt stock reached 568.2 billion Turkish liras ($101 billion) during the same period.
