ANKARA (AA) - Turkey's fishery production dropped 0.3% year-on-year, falling to 628,631 tons in 2018, the country's statistical authority said Wednesday.
"The total fishery production was composed of sea fish by 35.3%, other sea products by 9.9%, inland water products by 4.8% and aquaculture products by 50%," TurkStat said in a statement.
TurkStat data also showed that per capita average fish consumption in Turkey rose 11.8% from the previous year to reach 6.14 kg (13.5 pounds).
