ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey’s annual rate of inflation rose by one percent last month, according to Turkish Statistical Institute Monday.
Official figures showed an inflation increase to 7.64 percent in June from 6.58 percent in May.
The monthly inflation rate increased by 0.47 percent in June compared with the previous month.
The greatest annual increase was in the price of green peppers, which rose 28.43 percent.
Prices of spring onion, lettuce, newspaper, lemon and egg also increased.
The price of onions fell by 14.97 percent. Prices of potato, green beans and strawberries also went down.
