ANKARA (AA) - Saudi Arabia will host chiefs of general staff from 13 countries for a meeting against Daesh terrorist organization on Jan. 15 and 16, according to a statement by Turkish General Staff.
The statement issued on Sunday said Turkey's Chief of General Staff Hulusi Akar would attend the meeting.
Turkey has been taking steps to crack down on Daesh ever since 2014, when the terrorist organization launched a series of suicide bombings in Turkey.
Separately, Turkey has been conducting Operation Euphrates Shield, which began in late August to improve security, and eliminate the terror threat from Daesh as well as other terrorist organizations along Turkey’s border with Syria.
