ANKARA (AA) - The squad of the Turkish national volleyball team for the upcoming CEV EuroVolley 2021 Women was unveiled on Wednesday.

The Turkish Volleyball Federation announced the 15-woman roster, which will be under the management of Italian coach Giovanni Guidetti, for the tournament to be held in Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Romania from Aug. 18 to Sept. 4.

Turkey's squad for the competition includes Cansu Ozbay, Buse Unal, Meryem Boz, Ebrar Karakurt, Meliha Ismailoglu, Hande Baladin, Ilkin Aydın, Tugba Senoglu, Derya Cebecioglu, Eda Erdem Dundar, Zehra Gunes, Yasemin Guveli, Beliz Baskir, Simge Akoz, and Ayca Aykac.

The EuroVolley comes on the heels of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics – which wrapped up Sunday, delayed due to the pandemic – where the “Sultans of the Net” placed fifth, up sharply from the last time they played the Games, in 2012, when they placed ninth.
