ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkish swimmer Emre Sakci won his race in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke skins of the International Swimming League on Friday.
The 22-year-old finished in 25.57 seconds, defeating his opponent Ilya Shymanovich from Belarus by 0.7 seconds in the seventh leg of the league in Budapest.
In the 100-meter breaststroke, Sakci finished second behind Shymanovich with a time of 55.97.
On Thursday, Sakci made history by clocking a time of 25.29 seconds to break his own and the European record in the men’s 50-meter breaststroke category.
