ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye’s Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said Thursday that it has provided equipment to farmers in Guinea, fishermen in Sierra Leone and journalists in Afghanistan, and established a briquette workshop in Guinea, bolstering development efforts in Africa and Afghanistan.
TIKA said in a statement that agricultural equipment was distributed to farmers in Guinea's Faranah region of the country in cooperation with Guinea's Agriculture Ministry.
Separately, it said it has established a briquette workshop in Guinea's second-largest city Nzerekore.
In another statement, the Turkish aid agency said it also distributed equipment to fishermen in Sierra Leone to support the Sierra Leone government's efforts to prevent illegal fishing.
Elsewhere, TIKA's Herat office in Afghanistan told Anadolu that it has provided equipment support to journalists in Afghanistan.
