"A technical problem has occurred at a supplier that provides services globally and affects various sectors, including the aviation industry, and as a result of this problem, some of our flights have been cancelled," the carrier posted on X platform.
Flights will gradually return to normal as soon as possible, it stressed.
The airlines said it is also currently experiencing problems with ticketing, check-in, and reservation processes.
Turkish Airlines works on reducing its operational intensity in line with the solution of the software-based problem, it said.
The global interruption in devices running Windows operating system was attributed to a software update issued by US based cyber-security firm CrowdStrike.
