ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Airlines has released a mobile application to improve its communication with its stakeholders, said the company in a press release Tuesday.
The airline said in a statement that investors will be able to have online and offline access to information about the airline including public disclosures, operational and financial disclosures, investor presentations and annual reports, both in Turkish and in English.
The new mobile Investor Relations application is compatible with iPad, iPhone and Android devices and can send instant notifications to users.
In a statement released Tuesday, Turkish Airlines chairman Ilker Ayci said the airline had been using digital communication channels very effectively in its communication with passengers.
"Investor Relations App help us to apply same principles to improve financial communication with investors and contribute transparency,” Ayci said in a statement. “It will be a useful tool for anyone interested in the latest information about Turkish Airlines.”

The Turkish flag carrier flies to more countries than any other airline, with 323 aircraft flying to 289 destinations worldwide, according to the company.
Turkish Airlines was named "Best Airline in the Europe" in 2015 by U.K.- based consultancy Skytrax for the fifth consecutive time.
The number of passengers carried by the national carrier reached 25 million in the first five months of the year, an increase of 7.8 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the company which carried 61.2 million passengers in 2015.
The airlines, announced on March 1 a record operating net profit of 2.99 billion Turkish liras ($1.01 billion) for last year, a 65 percent increase from a year earlier. This was the first time the annual profit of the company exceeded $1 billion.
The company now employs more than 47,000 people. Shares in Turkish Airlines (THY) have dropped by more than a third in the past 12 months, trading at around 5.93 liras ($2.06) on Tuesday.
