ISTANBUL (AA) - Türkiye's flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, announced on Friday that it will resume flights between the Libyan city of Benghazi and Istanbul starting next year.
The carrier had suspended its flights to the city a decade ago due to domestic tensions but will resume operations on Jan. 14, 2025.
Turkish Airlines will operate three flights per week.
Previously, the airline announced plans to resume flights from Istanbul to the Libyan capital, Tripoli, beginning in March 2024, after a 10-year hiatus.
