KILIS - (AA) - Turkish arm wrestling champion Merve Yenidunya is looking to add new medals to her collection.
Yenidunya told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview that she continues to work intensely.
"I earned an invite to the national team after clinching the title in the 2019 Turkey Armwrestling Championships. Then, after winning the European championships in Greece, I took part in the World Armwrestling Champions in Romania," she said.
The 17-year-old clinched gold medals in the left and right arm competitions at the Girls' Junior Under-15 category at the 2019 championships in Romania.
Yenidunya said she works hard in hopes of achieving new success and cites her family’s encouragement and support throughout her career.
Her Turkish coach Ismail Kurt noted that he tries to keep Yenidunya in top form by continuing her training without interruption during the coronavirus pandemic.
