ISTANBUL (AA) - The Turkish central government's debt stock was 6.06 trillion Turkish liras ($221 billion) as of September 2023, the Treasury and Finance Ministry said on Friday.
The debt stock rose by 65.1% over a 12-month period.
Some 35.5% of the total debt stock was in Turkish lira, while the rest of the amount in foreign currency.
The domestic debts share in total was 47%, while 53% came from foreign debts.
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 27.42 at the end of the month.
