ISTANBUL (AA) - Galatasaray confirmed on Saturday the signing of Turkish defender Abdulkerim Bardakci.
In a statement, the Istanbul football club said they signed a three-year contract with an option for another season.
Galatasaray will pay Ittifak Holding Konyaspor a €2.8 million (nearly $3 million) transfer fee to acquire the player, the Lions revealed on Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform.
The club added that Bardakci would receive 17 million Turkish liras ($1 million) for the 2022-23 season, 19.5 million Turkish liras ($1.15 million) for the 2023-24 season, and 23.4 million Turkish liras ($1.38 million) for the 2024-25 season.
If Galatasaray inks a year-long contract extension with the defender for the 2025-26 season, the sum that Bardakci will receive over that year will rise to about €1.75 million, or 29.3 million Turkish liras.
Bardakci produced five goals and three assists in 33 matches for Ittifak Holding Konyaspor last season.
The 27-year-old helped the side win the 2016-17 Turkish Cup.
