ISTANBUL (AA) - Turkey is expected to grow 9.2 percent in the third quarter of this year, a panel of economists said Friday.
A group of 17 experts questioned by Anadolu Agency projected the figure ahead of Monday’s announcement of the third quarter's gross domestic product (GDP).
Among the economists' expectations, the highest growth forecast for the third quarter of this year was 11.1 percent, while the lowest was 7.2 percent.
Economists also forecasted that Turkey would see annual growth of 6 percent at the end of 2017, with the highest forecast at 6.7 percent and the lowest at 5.1 percent.
Turkey’s economy grew 5.2 percent in the first quarter of this year and 5.1 percent in the second quarter, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
