ANKARA (AA) – Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu congratulated his Estonian counterpart Margus Tsahkna on assuming his new responsibilities last month.
Turkish diplomatic sources said Cavusoglu and Tsahkna spoke by phone, but no further details were provided.
Tsahkna took office on April 17.
Meanwhile, Tsahkna reassured Estonia’s support to mitigate the effects of the tragic Feb. 6 earthquakes in southern Türkiye.
"I also said we were happy that Türkiye ratified Finland's accession to NATO, but I also hope that Sweden's accession would be ratified before the NATO summit," he said on Twitter.
