ISTANBUL (AA) – Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Tajikistan on Wednesday and discuss global and regional issues with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
“During the meetings, bilateral relations and cooperation in multilateral platforms with Tajikistan as well as current regional and international issues of mutual concern will be discussed,” the ministry said in a statement.
At the invitation of his Tajik counterpart, Fidan's visit comes a day after a meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart Jeenbek Kulubaev in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday.
Fidan and Kulubaev discussed the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel's attack on Gaza, as well as bilateral relations and ways to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of trade.
